What is Digital Forensics?

Digital forensics, which is sometimes called computer forensics, involves the identification, collection, preservation, examination and analysis of digital data, using a forensically sound methodology which will stand up in a court of law.

Computer Forensics methodology

• Preservation of electronic evidence
• Acquisition and analysis of any electronic storage media (hard drives, mobile phones, digital cameras, USB drives, GPS's etc.)
• Recovery of deleted, lost, encrypted, damaged files (e-mails, graphics, documents, etc.)
• Report and support with findings, applications and litigation support.

Current statistics:

• 95% of commercial documents are created electronically.
• 75% of those are never printed in hardcopy.
• Nearly 4 billion e-mails are exchanged worldwide daily

Types of Computer (Cyber) Crimes

• Hacking/cracking, network intrusion
• Harassment and cyber stalking
• Industrial espionage, insider crimes/threats
• Employee misconduct
• Child porn
• Identity Theft
• Fraud
• Any crime that is aided and/or abetted by any electronic device or media

Software and Hardware

We make use of the best global software and hardware, e.g. EnCase, FTK, which is also used by the FBI, Scotland Yard and various other role players in the world of digital forensics.

Mobile Forensics (Cell Phones)

For mobile phone investigations we use the best in the forensic field, i.e XRY/XACT and Cellebrite. With these forensic tools we can extract and examine deleted information from mobile devices.

Independent Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacking Contractor

Looking for independent contractor with Experience with Penetration Testing/Ethical Hacking services and Social Engineering

• Experience with following a documented standard methodology for performing penetration testing and ethical hacking.
• Experience with providing provide proof of concept exploits for custom applications as needed during exercises.
• Experience with Linux Box.
